Mayura Updates

August
Update

August is a good month for me. Not only is it the height of summer but it's also the month of my birthday! This year I will be 48 and I'm embracing it this year by having a lovely get together with my friends. I'm also doing an offer to celebrate it, so for any bookings, you can quote BIRTHDAY for a surprise discount.

I'm also super excited because I'm going to be attending a course at the end of the month to learn beauty facials so that I can offer this treatment in September. I'll be using Inlight Beauty products for a luxury treatment and I'm searching for another awesome product that I can use for a more affordable brand for those on a budget. I understand that using 100% organic products, whilst a wonderful thing, can be expensive and it's not necessarily for everyone so I'm looking at other brands and having conversations to see if I can come up with an alternative.

I'm also revising my treatments and timings for at home treatments. What I'm finding is an hour isn't long enough for a full treatment in some styles of massage, so I'm going to review it to make it a minimum 90 minutes but also look at reviewing the prices too. My aim is to make massage and wellbeing more accessible for everyone so I'm working things out.

As always, if you're interested in certain treatments or if you're interested in collaborating, please do let me know. I'm always happy to either learn another skill or team up with great people.

Enjoy the rest of your Summer!!

July
Update

It's been a wonderful month so far and there's still so much of it left! On 16th, I hosted another sound bath for 10 wonderful participants at St John the Evangelist Church, this time providing inflatable mattresses for everyone so they would be more comfortable, which went down a treat.

I've been working hard as always, providing massages in people's homes and businesses and I've been plotting and scheming ideas to bring more wellbeing goodness to you in the coming months.

This month, I'm thrilled to announce that I have become an Ambassador for a wonderful company called Inlight Beauty. This brand is nothing short of incredible and I've been using one of their balms for around 6 months to help with a dodgy knee. I've struggled with something called chondromalacia patella for over 20 years and at times, it's rendered me quite incapable of going down stairs or sitting down for long periods of time.  I tried many different things; some worked over time, some did nothing, and sometimes even painkillers did nothing. I tried a sample of Inlight Beauty's Rosemary and Hypericum Balm before bed when my knee was particularly bad. The next morning...the pain was gone!! Ever since then, I've raved about this product to friends, family and clients and now, I'm delighted to be able to offer you a code to get 10% off your first purchase of not only this amazing product, but everything on their site! The reasons I love this product aren't just because of the results, but also because they are certified 100% organic from seed to product and that is no easy task. Not only that, but the ingredients are infused with sunlight and moonlight, words of intention, alchemic symbols and sounds to enhance the vibrational energy throughout each production stage.

I am delighted to be able to offer you a 10% discount as an Ambassador. Just use the code MAYURA10 at the checkout.

I'll be speaking more about the products on my Instagram so stay tuned or get in touch to find out about any products in particular.

June
Update

I'm always exploring new interests and learning something new. Whether it's a massage technique or different ways to support my clients, my curiosity knows no bounds. Living with ADHD means my brain is constantly buzzing with new ideas and interests. When hyperfocus kicks in, I can immerse myself and learn a lot about a topic in a single day.

Lately, I've been delving into the art of Wicca. It's nothing like the stereotypical portrayals in movies or books—no broomsticks or bizarre ingredients here! As an animal lover, I could never use eye of newt or wing of bat, even if they were key ingredients for a good love spell! Instead, I've been creating spell jars, which are not only effective but also look charming on the shelf. I have them near every entrance to my home, in my car, and I carry one with me at all times along with crystals. These help me feel grounded and protected. I also perform rituals like blowing cinnamon into the house on the first of every month to welcome abundance, which has been especially beneficial.

You can create a spell for anything from wealth, love, a new job, protection from negative people...whatever you like! As long as your intentions are good and do no harm to others.

I'd love to do a Crafternoon event, where a few of us get together and create spells jars and talk about all things witchy...let me know if this is something you're interested in at mayurawellbeing@gmail.com. I'd love to chat with you about it.

May
Update

Things have been crazy at Mayura HQ over the past 5 months and I have been so blessed to have so much work coming in so I wanted to take time to say a massive Thank You to all those who have booked in with me.

The most wonderful event for me was the Sound Bath Experience I held at St John the Evangelist Church Hall in Upper Norwood on 22nd May. I'm so thankful to those of you who paid for tickets and came along to experience it. The theme of the event was the elements, and the participants spent an hour listening to sounds of waves, Koshi chimes, crystal singing bowls, the gong, and rain stick along with various other chimes. A percentage of the ticket sales is going back to the church as a thank you for all the hard work they do for the community and for allowing me to use the space. A date for the next experience will be released soon so keep your eyes peeled or sign up for updates.

I'm also thrilled to announce that I'm ready to start with Warm Bamboo Massage! Yes, I know, right in time for the warmer weather, but actually this treatment is great for those muscles that just need a little extra help to relax. I'll also be doing Hot and Cold Stones Massage by the end of June, so again, watch this space!

So, in the coming months, I will be introducing some exciting treatments including Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Sculpting Massage, Warm Bamboo and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi.

If you're interested in any other styles of massage, please get in touch as I'm always looking to book the next course and I might already have the skills to carry out your preferred style of massage.
